Macau beats Guangdong in Macau Cup

Macau’s Football team won 3:2 against Guangdong counterparts on Saturday, taking home the Guangdong Macau Cup of the 7th Guangdong Macau Cup Football Competition.
The event was jointly organised by the Sports Development Board (ID) and Guangdong Sports Bureau, Macau Football’s Association, and Football’s Association of Guangdong and held on December 23 and 26.
The Macau team defeated Guangdong 1:0 in the first match held on December 23 at the football field of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST).
The ID president Vong Iao Lek, Guangdong Sports Bureau vice presidents Zeng Xiaohong and Zhao shaoming, Macau Football’s Association representative Chang Chin Nam, ID’s vice presidents José Maria da Fonseca Tavares and Pun Weng Kuen officiated the match with the commissioners of the Sports Committee.
The second session, held on December 26 at the sports stadium of Zhuhai Sports Centre finished in a draw 2:2.
Vinicius Morais Alves, and Geofredo de Sousa Cheung, shot two goals in the last 60 and 69 minutes for the Macau team after Guangdong player Chang Feiya shot one goal. The Guangdong player Zhong Juzhan shot another goal in the last 90 minutes to even the score.
The Macau team finally won the Guangdong Macau Cup with 3:2 as the Rules and Regulations of the Football Match legislated the marks are taken in an accumulation basis.
