Top 14 rugby side Biarritz confirmed yesterday they will appeal the one-match suspension imposed on the Aguilera Stadium by France's National Rugby League (LNR) for incidents during last year's Basque derby.
The incidents took place during the 100th clash between rivals Biarritz and Bayonne on November 29, resulting in the LNR fining both clubs 5,000 euros (USD 6,400) for "a brawl involving the players of both teams".
The father of France forward Imanol Harinordoquy was banned from the Aguilera Stadium for the rest of the season after invading the pitch to defend his son in the punch-up.
