‘Low carbon lifestyle’ on TDM

The Bureau of Environmental Protection (DSPA) has produced a short film on environmental protection entitled “We work a life of low carbon and energy saving”, which premiered yesterday on Chinese TDM channel, Ou Mun.
The film will be also available on DSPA’s website www.dspa.gov.mo in the hope that people will will be encouraged to extend this idea to their daily life, thus cultivating this lifestyle and transforming Macau into a city with low carbon consumption.
Environmental issues like global warming and climate change affect the daily lives of everyone and so, to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, alleviate global warming and environmental burdens, a “low carbon” lifestyle is important.
Saving energy and water, reducing use of disposable products, not using plastic bags, and turning off lights doesn’t mean lowering the quality of life, but rather, a greener trend.
On the eve of Lunar New Year, the Bureau of Environmental Protection advises the public to reduce carbon emissions during this festive period, with the expectation that the population will better cater to the lifestyle of low carbon when purchasing gifts or clothing.
The film will air again on Ou Mun channel, between February 4 and February 11 at 11 am, on February 13 at 6.48 pm, and on San Vut channel on February 12.
