‘Sensitive impressions’ celebrate MSAR

Adriana Freire captures postcards from Portugal, Gonçalo Magalhães presents images of Macau at night, Joaquim Barreto shows us his fashion works and Xavier Martins presents the faces of the post-war Kosovo. From today until Wednesday, the exhibition hall Comendador Ho Yin at the Club Militar will hold a collective exhibition of photography of four Portuguese photographers organised by the Digital Photography Association of Macau to celebrate the anniversary of the SAR.
“Sensitive impressions” presents a diverse body of work by the four contemporary photographers. Adriana Freire brings a collection of photos that shows the picturesque side of Portugal and daily life scenes of its people. Gonçalo Magalhães will present his “Nocturnal” series that portrays the stillness and melancholy of Macau at night.
Joaquim Barreto, based in London, returns to Macau to show his portfolio of fashion photography, full of glamour and elegance. Xavier Martins, photojournalist who has travelled the world, brings to Macau his “Under the Blackbird’s Eye” project, a humanistic photographic record of post-war atmosphere in Kosovo.
The Digital Photography Association of Macau is a non-profit association that was established in December 2001 with the purpose of promoting digital photography in Macau and contributing to the cultural and artistic development of the SAR. The exhibition “Sensitive Impressions” is sponsored by the Macau Foundation, Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macau Government Tourist Office.
The opening ceremony will take place at 3pm with the presence of the artists. The exhibition’s doors will be open until 7pm today and from 11am to 7pm until Wednesday.
