Photo exhibit mixes Portugal, Macau, Kosovo and fashion
The Macau Digital Photography Association will hold a photo exhibition “Sensitive Impressions” (Impressões Sentidas), displaying works by Portuguese photographers Adriana Freire, Gonçalo Magalhães, Xavier Martins and Joaquim Barreto.
The four contemporary photographers will showcase a collection of photos that shows the picturesque side of Portugal and the daily life scenes of its people, the stillness and melancholic side of Macau night scenes. Also on display is the “Under the Blackbird’s Eye” project–a humanistic photography record of post-war atmosphere in Kosovo, by photojournalist Xavier Martins.
Joaquim Barreto, a Portuguese photographer based in London, will showcase a collection of his work in the glamorous world of fashion.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Macau Foundation and the Cultural Affairs Bureau and also marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau SAR.
The opening reception of the exhibition will take place on Saturday December 5 and it will be open to the public until December 9, at the Comendador Ho Yin Gallery of the Macau Military Club.
