The two-day Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau junior football exchange program wound-up Sunday, with Macau teams failing to make a goal.
Organised by the Sports Development Board (ID), in partnership with the Sports Bureau of Guangdong province, Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong and the Macau Football Association, the exchange program was held at the mini soccer pitch of Macau Olympic Sports Complex.
After two days of competition, Macau Team B took the silver, (defeated 0:4 to Guangdong) and Macau Team A (defeated by Hong Kong), took bronze.
The president of the ID, Vong Iao Lek, expressed gratitude to Guangdong and Hong Kong for their support that allowed the activity to be a continued success each year.
He also praised the competitors, saying: “Their outstanding performance at the field should be praised. Each of the team members took the match seriously so that they could learn from each other and that the objective of this program can be achieved.”
