UM wins big in science and technology competition
The University of Macau was ranked number one amongst all Macau teams in the “Challenge Cup” and second out of all 15 competing teams from Hong Kong and Macau.
The Challenge Cup National Intervarsity Science and Technology Competition is highly regarded amongst domestic intervarsity science and technology groups.
Six entries from the university’s Faculty of Science and Technology and Institute of Chinese Medical Science won prizes.
One entry “Ambient influences on structural health monitoring using Bayesian probabilistic approach”, from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and one entry “Cyclops - Pocket Based Snapshot (Chinese) Translation”, from the Department of Computer and Information Science, both won first prizes.
