Macau-Zhuhai ferry price increases by 50 percent
Ticket prices for ferries travelling between Macau Inner Harbor and Zhuhai Wanzai port have risen. Some residents have complained that the ferry operator Yuet Tung Shipping Co. Ltd increased the discount price for Macau and Zhuhai residents from January 1st this year without informing the public. A one-way ticket now costs MOP20 - a 50 percent increase - while the round trip price goes up from MOP20 to MOP30, as reported by Si Man. On Yuet Tung’s official website, the normal price for single journey is now MOP/HKD30 and a two-way trip is now MOP/HKD40. The Maritime Administration said that they approved the adjustment in December of last year. Yuet Tung promised they would not adjust the prices further for one or two years.
