Discussion on tobacco labels concluded

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

The Executive Council (ExCo) concluded the discussion on the project for administrative regulation that implements label designs, designated in the System for the Prevention and Control of Tobacco Smoking.
Taking as reference the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control of the World Health Organization (WHO), the printing of health warnings, messages, and drawings on cigarette packages aims to promote abstention from tobacco and to prevent and to control smoking. Therefore, labels on all cigarette, cigar, pipe and cigarette-tobacco packaging will be implemented. The bill will come into effect on January 1 next year.

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!
