The local casino revenue in 2011 will be “approximately 5.5 times the gross gaming revenue generated on the Las Vegas Strip,” Union Gaming Research wrote in a note to investors.
In addition the rate of growth in Macau will be “roughly 10 times the rate” on the US casino capital. Las Vegas is still the second biggest gaming destination in the world but could be soon overtaken by Singapore, analysts say.
The latest available data from the State of Nevada, which is from the month of November, shows that the MSAR gaming revenues were 3.2 times higher than the results for the whole State, Portuguese-language newspaper Tribuna de Macau wrote.
Last year the average win per gaming table increased 32 percent to MOP 135,238, even though the table supply reached 5,379 in the third quarter, Union Gaming Research wrote.
The company’s analysts estimate that each VIP table won about MOP 271,900, far above the MOP 51,200 for each mass-market table.
