Professor Liu shih-ding on TDM Talk Show
Last Saturday, Taiwan elected its president for the next four years – incumbent President Ma Ying-jeou. It was a tight race between his party the Kuomintang and opposition Democratic Progressive Party DPP’s Tsai Ying-wen.
According to analysts, what’s at stake is cross strait relations, with Ma representing warmer ties with China and Tsai symbolizing an unknown future between Taipei and Beijing.
But what does all this mean for Macau? On TDM Talk Show this week is Liu Shih-ding, a professor who came from Taiwan to teach communications at the University of Macau. He will talk about his predictions on Ma’s plans with Hong Kong, Macau and what lies ahead now that he is officially in power.
The TDM Talk Show will air tonight at 9 pm.
