Nam Kwong acquires TCM
State-owned Nam Kwong Group has acquired public bus operator TCM (Sociedade de Transportes Colectivos de Macau), Macau Post Daily reported yesterday.
The company’s chairman Xu Kaicheng made the announcement during a Chinese New Year banquet for its employees on Friday. However, the businessman did not unveil how much the acquisition will cost.
He said that apart from TCM, the group acquired other two companies, Zhihuai Jiuzhou Travel and Transport Company and Limbar Gas Company Macau.
TCM was established in 1986 and for over two decades it operated the public bus service together with TRANSMAC. Last year the government revamped the service model and introduced a second operator, Reolian.
