Hundreds of people rushed to local banks yesterday as two new notes were launched to celebrate the 2012 Chinese New Year.
The notes were available at the only two banks authorised to issue Pataca, the Bank of China Macau branch and Banco Nacional Ultramarino.
Red is the main colour of the new notes, whose design features paper cutting technique and the image of the A-Má Temple.
