As Macau works towards economic diversification and a world travel and leisure hub, the July edition of the Macau Business magazine looks into how local casinos can attract a younger crowd to increase their non-gaming revenues.
They may be less likely to splash the cash at the baccarat tables, but gaming operators are keen to build non-gaming revenue as best they can, with glamour heading to Macau from all over the world.
In addition, the July edition speaks to some of the world’s leading lights in tourism marketing and asks how Macau is being marketed overseas - whether there is too much or not enough emphasis on the casinos, and whether world heritage is what people are looking for.
With the new bus service model set to be implemented in less than a month’s time, Macau is ready to welcome competition on its bus routes. The new comer, Reolian, is ready to roll, even though it has not yet met the requirement for the number of drivers to operate routes. Nevertheless, the company’s general manger tells Macau Business they’re confident in their business.
Moreover, the magazine features the mixed martial arts fight night at City of Dreams as well as what the Japan-based Hotel Okura offers at Galaxy Macau.
