Chui promotes local brands in Jilin
Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On vowed yesterday to strengthen the cooperation and exchange between Macau and Jilin in tourism, trade and culture, during his meeting in Chang Chun with secretary of the Jilin CPC Provincial Committee, Sun Zhengcai.
For his turn, Sun stressed that there is a lot of room for cooperation between Macau and Jilin, particularly in the tourism industry. Macau’s top-official went yesterday to mainland China to attend the opening of the Macau Pavilion at the 6th China Jilin - Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo. Leading a local delegation the top-official also visited some must-see tourism attractions in Chang Chun.
During the meeting with the secretary of the Jilin CPC Provincial Committee, Chui praised the Macau Pavilion in the fair as a way to improve trade exchange and promotion of products in Jilin. The Chief Executive also said that this visit would enable him to promote Macau commodities to the northeast region as well as to the international market.
Talking to reporters ahead of his departure, Chui reminded that this kind of promotional events had been held in Beijing, Shanghai, Shengzhou and other cities and they had a significant effect in promoting Macau commodities.
