Rita Santos picked as Macau Forum secretary
Rita Santos is the new deputy general secretary of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. The Macanese has been chosen by the Government to represent MSAR at the institution. She will replace Karen Lok Kit Sim, chief-of-cabinet of secretary for Economy and Finance Francis Tam. The decision was taken last Friday, during a meeting of the Permanent Secretariat.
Back in March 2003 Santos was nominated to coordinate the formation of the Macau Forum. With the creation of the institution, in 2004, the Portuguese-descendant became coordinator of Macau Forum’s Supporting Office.
