Court refuses parole for Ao Man Long’s brother
The Court of Second Instance (TSI) has rejected the request for parole by the younger brother of the former secretary for Transport and Public Works, Ao Man Long, Radio Macau reported. Ao Man Fu was condemned to four and a half years in prison for the crime of money laundering. So far, Ao has served two thirds of the sentence, which corresponds to three years.
The TSI refused his request for parole even though the Macau Prison’s director endorsed it. Director Lee Kam Cheong stressed in its report that Ao’s health is not good. He has had a leg amputated due to type 2 diabetes.
