1 - MYANMAR: Nay Pyi Taw – The Uppatasanti Pagoda, which keeps the Chinese Buddha tooth relic, on Monday. The sacred tooth relic, which is treasured in the Lingguang Temple in China’s Beijing, was conveyed to Myanmar’s new capital of Nay Pyi Taw (Naipidaw) Sunday afternoon for 48-day public obeisance in the country. It is the fourth time that the Chinese Buddha sacred tooth relic was brought to the country for obeisance.

3 - NEPAL: Kathmandu – Nepalese Buddhists splash coloured water on the Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The Stupa, which is situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu, is at the heart of the Nepalese capital’s Tibetan community and is an important centre of Buddhist studies.

4 - COLOMBIA: Bogotá – A student jokes next to riot policemen during a demonstration against an education reform bill at Bogota’s main square Plaza de Bolivar, on Thursday. Thousands of students from more than 30 public universities took to the streets in Colombia to protest against proposed education reforms they fear will partially privatize higher education.

5 - CHINA: Leishan – Women of Miao ethnic group during a celebration of the Miao’s New Year in Leishan County, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, on Friday. According to the traditional calendar of the Miao ethnic group, November 11 marked the first day of the New Year. In 2006, the celebration of Miao’s New Year was enlisted as one of Chinese national intangible cultural heritages.

6 - FRANCE: Mulhouse – The world biggest doll (10 meters high), created by students to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Higher Institute of Textile Alsace (ISTA), is presented on Friday at the Place de la Reunion, in Mulhouse, eastern France, for its Guinness Book of Records’ approval.

7 - JAPAN: Yokohama – A Santa diver feeds a five-meter long whale shark named “Hachibei” at the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise aquarium in Yokohama, suburban Tokyo on Sunday. Christmas attractions started at the aquarium and will be held throughout till Christmas Day.
