2 - INDONESIA: Java – Indonesian police commandos prepare for the opening ceremony of a joint anti-terror drill at the national police special operations force headquarters in Kelapa Dua, Depok-West Java, on Tuesday. The joint anti-terror drill is part of the country’s effort to combat terrorism acts, and comes ahead of Indonesia hosting the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in November.

3 - PAKISTAN: Lahore – Pakistani Hindu women hold earthen oil lamps on the occasion of Diwali, on Wednesday. During Diwali, the festival of lights, people honour the Hindu goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, decorate their homes with flowers and diyas (earthen lamps), and celebrate the homecoming of the God Ram after he vanquished the demon king Ravana.

5 - POLAND: Warsaw – A view of the installation by British artist Ryan Gander prior to be unveiled in Warsaw, on Friday. Gander’s work inaugurates the series of artistic interferences in the urban space under the collective title ‘New places,’ project which is a joint initiative of the Warsaw City Hall and the Museum of Modern Art. It is a sculptural installation composed of a nearly 3m diasphere, which imitates a magnet attracting shiny metal-like objects.
