Nine dead, 19 missing in landslide
Nine people were killed and 19 others reported missing when the side of a mountain in north China came tumbling down early yesterday, burying more than a dozen homes, state press reported.
Rescuers have so far dug out 16 survivors of the landslide in Shaanxi province, which took place shortly after midnight, and were continuing to search for the missing, Xinhua news agency said.
It was not immediately clear what triggered the landslide.
