Corporate News: MGM donates MOP 1 million for Zhouqu relief
MGM Macau donated MOP 1 million to the Liaison Office of Central People’s Government in Macau SAR to the relief efforts following the Zhouqu landslides.
On August 26, managing director of MGM Macau Pansy Ho delivered the donation to deputy chief of Liaison Office, Xu Ze; director of administration department of Liaison Office, Sun Da; and deputy director of economic affairs department of Liaison Office, Chen Xiang. Pansy Ho said that as a socially responsible company MGM is committed to bringing relief to the disaster and she also hoped the donation would help the reconstruction of the Zhouqu area.
The massive landslides struck the Zhouqu town of Gansu Provence and caused catastrophic damage inside and around the area. The Liaison Office expressed gratitude to the gaming operator and said that the office would deliver the donations to Zhouqu for disaster relief and reconstruction.
